Assistant Minister of for Discipleship and Worship Purpose:
To assist the Pastor, Session and congregation in providing a ministry of Christian Word and Witness to our Young Adults and Young families.
To actively attract Young Adults to our church and to lead them to a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ and to nurture them in Christian growth and discipleship.
Also, to assist with worship music when needed.
Finally, to assist the Pastor by preaching once a month and helping with pastoral needs.
Accountability To the Session, an assigned elder, and Senior Pastor.
Responsibilities Provide ministry to Young Adults and Young families as needed.
Develop personal caring relationships with our Young Adults of the church and the community to further develop their spiritual growth.
Recruit, train, encourage spiritual growth and resource Young adults to assist in leadership and vision of their programs.
Direct Young Adult and Young family small groups.
Provide opportunities (missions, retreats, special events, worship, etc) which enhance/extend the Young Adult ministries.
Lead worship when needed.
Actively communicate with Young Adults and Families of the congregation.
Maintain a presence in the community.
Preach once a month.
Perform general pastoral duties ( visits, funerals, communion) when asked by Lead Pastor.
Participate in session and staff meeting Continually update events on website and provide information on current calendar of events.

Relates to the Staff, session and congregation Physical Demands:
Can perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Requirements:
A demonstratable life of Christian faith and practice.
Must be ordained, preferable by the EPC.
Knowledge of strategic planning and organizational leadership.
Pass a criminal history and driving record check.
Evaluation:
Ongoing and Annual evaluation will be conducted by the end of each calendar year by the Senior Pastor and assigned Elder and reported to the Session.
Terms of Employment 20 hours/weekly - $28.

Employee signature_____________________________________Date_________________ We are looking for a young ordained Pastor who would manage the worship service and music.
He/she would coordinate worship services, pick songs, organize singers and musicians, prepare special services, and spiritually lead and encourage the volunteers involved with worship.
He/she would work and communicate weekly plans through Planning Center to musicians and audio/visual crew.
He/she would work to combine contemporary and traditional music in order to help the congregation sing and worship.
Also, he/she can write original music for special events or worship.
They would communicate these plans to the Lead Pastor, and also the worship elder.
In combination with worship, we are looking for a young ordained Pastor to lead and disciple Young Adults, singles and married.
They would make contact with young adult visitors, lead Bible studies, disciple and meet with young adult members and visitors.
Our goal is to attract more young adults to our church.
Statistics have shown that a church attracts those similar to age of the Pastor.
We need a vibrant young pastor to join our ministry to attract and speak to the spiritual needs of our younger generation.
He/she could also encourage mission trips with young singles and families.
Since this person would be an ordained pastor, they can help the Lead pastor in preaching once a month, overseeing communion and baptisms, hospital visits and other ministries.
This assistant pastor would sit on session and help guide and encourage all ministries in our church.
If this position expands and is fitting with our ministry of our church, he/she may work to transition into Lead Pastor at the right time, in accordance with the ministry and call of the Lead Pastor.
Hours expected - 20-30 hours a week Salary and benefits $1,050 premium paid by church for EPC benefits (this is where I need a number or salary) Job Types:
