What is this position?
Behavioral Specialists provide care and support of children and adolescents in our Intensive Behavior Support Program (IBSP). These children often require the highest level of care and support within the residential treatment environment. Strong behavioral observation skills are a necessity, along with patience, emotional stamina, and determination for consistency. This position is responsible for the following:
Implement behavior intervention plans designed by Program Coordinator.
Work with each child's therapist to help the child meet his/her treatment goals.
Ensure daily routines are followed and provide assistance to children for completing tasks as needed.
Intervene in crisis situations, including possible physical management of residents, using approved crisis management system.
Complete daily documentation by the end of shift.
LMC's ideal candidate profile includes maturity, reliability, honesty, good problem solving and communications skills. To apply you must be 18+ years of age. You must also have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Day Shifts (Weekdays Only) ? 7:00 AM ? 3:00 PM
Available schedules vary. Applicants will be provided specific schedule options upon hire. This position will require working weekends.
Starting pay: $ 13.34/hour
Certifications: Lakemary will provide training in program specific coursework. Certifications must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
Qualifications: Knowledge of Human Development and/or Behavior Modification is preferred. Prior experience working with children and/or psychiatric illness is preferred.
Special Considerations: Some environments/shifts require same sex staff due to regulatory requirements.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
